The opening ceremony of the China - Myanmar Cooperation Symposium on Metrology was held by National Institute of Metrology (Myanmar), National Standards and Quality Department, Department of Research and Innovation, Ministry of Science and Technology and National Institute of Metrology-China on September 21 st in 2023 at the Melia Hotel and Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw, Union Minister, Ministry of Science and Technology addressed the opening remarks. Also presented at the ceremony Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Science and Technology, Vice Chairman of Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry(UMFCCI), Director General of Department of Research and Innovation, experts from National Institute of Metrology-China and National Institute of Metrology (Guangxi), representatives from Ministries, Industries and the invited guests. The Department of research and Innovation held the "ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Awareness Training" at the assembly hall ,Department of Research and Innovation on September 13 and 14 ,2023 and Dr. Phyu Phyu Win ,Director General ,Department of Research and Innovation, gave an opening speech. The ISO/IEC 17025:2017 awareness training was held for the preparation of laboratories to be accredited laboratories in accordance with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 international standard. The opening ceremony of the “Workshop on exchange programs to best policy practice in technology transfer management system and MSMEs innovation in Lancang- Mekong region” of the project “Establishment of Technology Transfer Accelerator Hub for Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Development in Lancang-Mekong Region” implemented with the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Special Fund (2021) was held by Department of Research and Innovation, Ministry of Science and Technology in September 6, 2023 at the Wyndham Grand Hotel in Yangon at 9:30 am.
