On 1 December 2023, Standards Working Committee (2/2023) Meeting was held on Meeting Hall, Ministry of Science and Technology, Naypyitaw and Union Minister, Ministry of Science and Technology, Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw was delivered the opening speech, Permanent secretary from Ministry of Science and Technology had also attended the meeting with standards working committee members respectively. In the meeting, Chairman of Standards Working Committee, Director General, Department of Research and Innovation (DRI), Dr. Phyu Phyu Win was also shared the implementation status of strengthening National Quality Infrastructure (NQI),the previous activities approved from Standards Working Committee(1/2023) shared by Director of National Standards and Quality Department,  the proposal and committee level of draft standards and summary of the final draft standards after public enquiry stage to be submitted for  National Standards Council (NSC) Approval by relevant standards technical committees , the new standard technical sub-committee for Gold to be approved by National Standards Council Meeting, Registration and Designation Procedures for Conformity Assessment Bodies(CABs) and the draft of Quality Policy and Quality Manual prepared by National Certification Body(NCB) by Director, Standards Development Division and then the working committee members such as chairmen and secretaries from relevant (26) technical sub-committees, UMFCCI, Myanmar Engineering Council, Federation of Myanmar Engineering Societies and Myanmar Computer Federation had also discussed about future implementation plan for National Quality Infrastructure totally 45 participants including the officials from National Standards and Quality Department(NSQD) had also been attended respectively.
